About Christine Webber
Christine Webber originally trained as a classical singer at the Guildhall School of Music. Sadly, she didn't make a career out of it so tried light music and acting – with little success. It was only when Christine turned her attention to the possibility of a television career that things improved.
She landed a job at Anglia TV in 1978, and stayed there for 12 years. Christine was their leading news presenter, working on the flagship programme, 'About Anglia'.
Christine Webber left in 1990 to do more print journalism. Shortly afterwards, she became an aunt. Later, then trained as a psychotherapist – first at Regent’s College in London and subsequently at Goldsmiths.
She continued to appear on TV and gave advice to the viewing public on a wide range of programmes including BBC Breakfast, GMTV, The Wright Stuff, Am I good in bed?, The Good Sex Guide. Late, Open House with Gloria Hunniford, Trisha, Espresso and Dating the Enemy. She's also had an extensive career as a columnist and author. And has a therapy practice in Harley Street.
Additionally, Christine Webber works for a number of companies as an independent psychological spokesperson. She is keen to avoid the increasingly immobile old age. So she keeps active. Christine takes three or four ballet classes a week. This is now a real passion. She also does yoga, plays tennis, walks on the Sussex Downs and goes to the gym.
Other interests include opera, theatre and cinema and reading.
